Dental Implants Las Vegas
A Superior Option for Rebuilding Your Whole Smile
If you’re missing a tooth, you have two options: replace it or don’t. If you don’t replace your tooth, you could face complications with your bite and appearance, and recent studies show that a missing tooth greatly increases your chances of losing more teeth due to the shifting/drifting of teeth over time. There are several options available for replacing a missing tooth. Research shows that dental implants are the only sure way to prevent jawbone deterioration and additional tooth loss. Dr. Hejazi has years of experience restoring dental implants, and he’d be happy to walk you through the process of rebuilding your smile. Just schedule a consultation at our Las Vegas dental office to get started.

Why Should I Replace a Missing Tooth?

A tooth has two parts: the crown and the root. When a tooth falls out, the section of the jawbone that supported the tooth has no purpose, so it withers and atrophies. Your remaining teeth are then supported by a weakened jaw. A missing tooth also increases the workload of remaining teeth and causes shifting of teeth, food collection, and tooth decay. After about four to eight years, up to 19% of adjacent teeth are lost as a result of a missing tooth. That’s five more lost teeth if you started with a full set!
What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are the ideal tooth-replacement option because they replace the missing tooth's root as well as the crown. Dental implants do not require support from adjacent teeth, and they keep the jawbone strong by stimulating and supporting bone. With dental implants, patients do not experience increased tooth decay or sensitivity as with bridges. Dental implants have a success rate of 95 to 98% and can also secure dentures and partial dentures. With regular oral hygiene, dental implants last for a lifetime in most patients.
The 4-Step Dental Implant Process

-
Initial Consultation
Dr. Hejazi will evaluate your specific case to determine which tooth option is right for you. To receive dental implants, you must be in good health and have adequate bone structure. Minor pre-prosthetic procedures like bone and sinus grafts may be necessary to prepare you for a dental implant. For patients who cannot accommodate traditional implants, mini dental implants provide a viable alternative. -
Implant Placement
Dr. Hejazi or a specialist can perform dental implant surgery where one to four implants can be placed, depending on your specific needs. -
Healing/Osseointegration
Dental implants need several months to heal and fuse with your jaw bone through a process called Osseointegration. This is what allows them to remain stable enough to support your replacement teeth and allow for lasting function. -
Final Restoration
After your implant posts have fused with your jaw, you’re ready to receive your replacement teeth. They will come in the form of a dental restoration, such as a denture, bridge, or crown, and attach to abutment pieces that are connected to your implant posts. From there, you’re ready to enjoy your new smile!
The Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants offer several quality-of-life benefits that traditional options like dentures or bridges cannot fully match. These include:
- They prevent further bone loss in the jaw since they provide the same stimulation as natural teeth.
- They restore most of a patient’s original bite force, meaning a variety of foods can be eaten with ease once more.
- They can last for decades or potentially a lifetime with proper care.
